Happy dance!! We are just over half way through January. This is my least liked month of the entire year. It is dull, dark, and cold (usually). All the festivities are over. Life is back at a normal pace, but so normal that even it has a touch of boring, despite being hectic at the same time. Don't get me wrong, I'm not looking for excitement. I enjoy boring. I also enjoy escape. Perhaps that's one reason why I read so many books.
I only wish that come January first that I could hibernate for at least six weeks -- even eight would be good :o).
How has your January been so far?
My January is flying by! We have had typical January weather for this part of the world...cold, rainy, sunshiny, windy, balmy..yeah, we get the whole gamet of weather conditions.
ReplyDeleteLooking forward to breaking bread ( more like enchiladas) with The Engineer tonight.

Oh yay! You are getting together!! Tell him to give you a big hug from me!! So far so good on this week (aside from van and garage issues -- just inconveniences). Tomorrow is the busy day.
ReplyDeleteBig hugs!

Hello my "Northern Friend."
ReplyDeleteJanuary is moving right along. It has its rush of activity, but overall the month has been quite a bit warmer than normal. We love the colder days, but sadly no snow yet, or even a wintry mix.
We get more dreary and cold days this time of year - they always leave me feeling tired and depressed. It's funny you mentioned hibernating. I was just thinking a few days ago I'd love to crawl in bed and sleep for a few weeks!
ReplyDeleteI don't mind January so much. Maybe I'm still riding on the fun coattails of Christmas? But by the end of February and March, after months of rain and darkness, I'm desperate for some warmth and sunshine!
ReplyDeleteHang in there, my friend :D

It sure has gone by fast, that is for sure. I am pretty much ready for summer.
ReplyDeleteHibernation is such a gift. Praying you are enjoying yours. Love your snow pic of the kids! [o=

I thought January was speeding along nicely. With the unusual mild weather is hasn't even seemed like January, although today it sure does.
ReplyDeleteSo far the month has been busy and with full days. I thought maybe winter would be not quite as busy as summer is, but winter brings its own busy :)
I'll be honest I am looking forward to May!! Almost summer time!
Oh January - I didn't think I ever disliked it... Until recently. New semester started, with new grades, snow daze dance coming up, youth group activities (including a conference I need to think about coming up this summer), hard days, and everything in between!
ReplyDeleteI don't think I've ever had a January this busy! Now I now how you feel!
Blessings,
~Michlyn
P.S. Hope you're doing well... My comment is a bit late, and I do hope that everything is running smoothly through the last couple weeks of this busy month.
Hibernation. Seems to be the talk right now... It's a wonderful dream isn't it?
ReplyDeleteBlessings, Debbie
I hear you! I'm ready for the heart month!
ReplyDeleteI will be so happy when February comes! My January has been a hard month, but February has Valentines Day, which I love as long as I make it about the kids. January is counting down, yeah!
