ABSee Meme J

A B See Photo Meme

J is for joy. I love watching the joy on my children's faces as they play and interact with each other and their friends. I am thankful for their friends and that many of them are homeschoolers as well. It is a wonderful thing that the kids can get together for several hours in the afternoon on a weekday instead of it always having to be a weekend or evening thing.

ABSee Meme

I am on the letter I with the ABSee Meme from the Homeschool Post. They haven't been doing the Meme lately. I'm not sure why, but regardless, I've been finding it fun to see what I can come up with for each week's new self-imposed letter.

The letter I was a difficult one. I thought of ice cream, but we rarely have that in the house. Come to think of it,I don't think we have too many pictures of anyone eating it either -- at least I didn't find any while going through my archives.

I do however, have a photo of some ice sculptures. This is still from when we went to Snowfest in January.

Peach's stance looks an awful lot like the penguin's doesn't it :0)?

This is our Home. It is a continual work in progress -- not only physically, but the family inside it is too. We are always learning new things...

ABSee Meme E,F,G

E is for egg-citing experiment. I was getting in some practice with my prime lens and thought some brown eggs made a worthy subject.

F is for frighteningly funny face. Beans can pull some of the wackiest faces. She loves to be silly.

G is for gorgeous guinea pig. Piggins always thought he made a great model with his long sleek fur.

D is for Dive!

All four of our children are avid swimmers. So much so, that I have been a swim team mom for four years now. I enjoy sitting around the pool at the early morning practices watching the kids perfect their entry dives and strokes. The competitons are even more fun to watch! Seeing a swimmer who has their form down is like poetry in motion. Beautiful!

C is for Children

I though of doing Chicken ;0), but I didn't have any great shots of live ones and well, a roast one isn't too photogenic either, imho.

Here is one of the more recent shots of all four Children together behaving nicely for the camera:

Children are a blessing from the Lord to be sure!!!

Foto Friday

I found this fun meme on The Homeschool Post . Since I love taking pictures, I thought it might be fun to join in. Being the organized *snicker* person that I am, I am going to begin with the letter A.

Although there are no big Anniversary celebrations this year, last year there were three- actually, make that four "special" celebrations!!

The Engineer's parents celebrated their 50th Anniversary on May 9.

My parents celebrated their 40th Anniversary on July 13.

We celebrated our 15th Anniversary on October 2nd.

And my brother and his wife celebrated their twelve and a half year Anniversary on December 15th.

Huh?? Apparently it is Dutch tradition to celebrate your 12.5 Anniversary. I guess because it is halfway to 25??? I dunno, but really, with the divorce rate so high even/especially among Christians, I think Anniversaries are a very special thing -- whether it is a first or a 50th.

“Love is the condition in which the happiness of another person is essential to your own.”
