As I sit here eating my lunch and attempting to type at the same time (it's not working too well), all I hear around me is silence. Silence and birdsong. The windows are wide open letting in the breeze and the occasional stench of a farmer spraying. A person can get used to that smell, so truthfully, it really doesn't bother me. It's so beautiful outside today! It's what my idea of spring is and should be like this from March 20 to June 21st :o). Then it can get HOT!
(My current project. I'm so thankful for my helpful dog. {Insert eye roll here.}).
I've been indoors today though. I'm working away at putting away things in their new home. I can't help but be overwhelmed with gratitude at all the space we have now -- and storage!! Oh how I have longed to have a place for everything, so everything could be put away. I told myself that when the house was complete, nothing would go in its new home unless: 1) It is useful to me/us, and
2) It is beautiful to me/us. ***
Have nothing in your house that you do not know to be useful or believe to be beautiful. ~William Morris

It's strange to think how quiet my days are lately. As much as I am enjoying them, I am looking forward to having all my kiddies home under one roof. Oh what chaos that will be then :o).
Blessings!
just got in from mowing as much as I could before I have to leave ... and just so you can avoid this for the future, do not mow while wearing false eyelashes. makes you look silly when you kick the dead squirrel under the pine tree (and spit).
ReplyDeleteonly today did I come to realize that I totally hoark while mowing grass.
so lady-like

I felt content just imagining your quiet peaceful scene putting things away!
