With all that is going on in Japan, everything here seems so mundane lately. I know we are where we are because God put us here. Realistically our lives could change in an instant too, just like those of the Japanese people. I check Google news a lot and am thinking of the people and lifting them up in prayer whenever I think of it which is often. We'll have opportunity to send financial support through our church and beyond that, what more can I do? That's the question I keep asking myself. What else can I do? I feel helpless. This world is such a crazy place. Heartbreak. Everywhere.
So when my next post is just the everyday happenings here, it doesn't mean that Japan is not still on my heart and in my thoughts like I know it is for many of you too.
Blessings!
It is so hard to think about "every day life" when the lives are so many are not "every day" right now. I struggle with feeling irritated over little things when I have a home, food, all my loved ones accounted for. But, you're right, God has us where we are right now for His reason.
ReplyDeleteBlessings to you!

You have such a global heart, Deborah. Bless you.
ReplyDeleteI feel the same way...
ReplyDeleteMy sentiments exactly! While we were in NYC this past week, I kept thinking of those in Japan who are suffereing. I get CNN alerts on my phone and each time I read something, I would feel that what we were doing was so unimportant compared to what is going on across the ocean.
ReplyDeleteAnd yes, our lives could change in an instant as well. Great post, my friend!
