In the Round

I am learning to knit in the round. (At least I think that's what it is called). I've only cast this on about six times and successfully started knitting twice. The first time I had to rip it out again though. I kept dropping stiches and discovered it too late. If I ever get this little project finished, I will post it, but on the other hand, I may have to rip it out again. Oh well, practice makes perfect :o)! Is anyone else working on some crafty projects? I'd love to hear about them!

  1. I want and need to learn to do this. Good for you!!! I just need to find the right project and figure out what size needles to buy. I have a handful of 40% off coupons so...what am I waiting for? What are you knitting?

  2. Leslie, it's a baby hat. Funny thing is, I'm not sure I have enough pink to finish it. Oops! :o)

    Blessings!

  3. What a lovely photo of your hands with those circular needles and pink yarn.

After gaining a degree of comfort with circulars, you can go on to double points. See, a whole new world awaits you!!!!!

I am knitting scarves of baby alpaca for Christmas gifts, great take along work, and fingerless mitts likewise.

  4. Hmmm, fingerless mittens sound great for when I have a camera in tow with me outside.

I have double points sitting here awaiting for me to finish the little hat. I'm a little intimidated by them at the moment, but I'm sure I'll figure it out :o).
