I feel like the days are all rolling into one. I absolutely adore this time of year! The sights, the sounds, the smells. What is it about autumn that can make one feel so invigorated? I want to do so many things and at the same time have so many things to do. It's really a matter of making lists and prioritizing, but oddly enough, I've been enjoying flying by the seat of my pants these days. Neither the house, nor I are coming out unscathed, but I'm having fun, and sometimes that is more important. Everyone is happy, fed, and clean. We are enjoying carved snatches of time to do things as a family. It's life. Sometimes messy, sometimes disorganized, but all the sweeter for it.
Now if only there was a way to slow down these days...
Now if only there was a way to slow down these days...
Once you figure it out... that *slowing down* thing... PLEASE pass the secret along! I'm desperate for more time, & I'm struggling to separate the good from the best. The whole prioritizing plan is certainly easier said than done! Sometimes it's just easiest to head to the park and call it a day! After all, autumn will be over before we know it (sigh).
ReplyDeleteHope you have a splendid Thursday and a delightful weekend ahead!
It is what makes up the substance of our lives. You did a splendid job of getting the message across in this post.

ReplyDeleteMost of my days are like this! No matter how much I try to have things run seamlessly, they never do. You are right....it's best to just run with it and enjoy, "Our daily bread". It seems as if when we let go and join in....we have more fun!!
ReplyDeleteThanks for the reminder!
Ditto...when you figure out to slow down, just let me know... sometimes I feel like I am on a roller coaster that never stops!
ReplyDeleteLove your yellow leaf photo! So pretty.
ReplyDeleteI'm completely disorganized and messy these days, but I'm having a lot more fun it seems!
Good for you, keeping the big picture in mind.
ReplyDeleteI feel like I'm always battling to slow us all down.
Three more weeks of soccer, and then it will be better...

My sentiment exactly, Deborah!

Time does go by so fast. But I also find that where I live (CO), autumn only lasts for about 5 seconds. It's such a beautiful season, but it goes by soooooooooooo quickly around here. It's winter FOREVER and then spring hits for another 5 seconds. Onto summer which lasts about 20 minutes, autumn for another 5 seconds and then winter which lasts FOREVER!!!!!! So I suppose we all ought to soak up autumn as much as we can!
ReplyDeleteI love fall! It always seems to get away from me before I can get done all that I want to do. Take it all in and enjoy all that you can!:)
ReplyDeleteBlessings,
Christina
