A Giveaway!!

I almost forgot!! I was going to host a giveaway today!!

Donna Ward is a Canadian author who has written a curriculum on Africa. It is a social study of this vast and beautiful continent. You can have a peek at her book here. She is a big advocate for Compassion International which is exactly how this book came about. She sponsors four children from Africa and has been able to go visit them a couple of times. Her desire for others to learn about this country grew into the creation of this curriculum.

I have two of these books as we obtained one when we sponsored our second child from the Philippines. I will admit, we haven't yet done this study, but I am looking forward to beginning it this fall. I love all her other books. They are interesting and are interspersed with fun learning activities too.

If you're interested in participating, just leave me a comment (with your email if you don't have a blog) and tell me what your favorite history/geography/social study curriculum is, and I will enter you in the draw at the end of this month.

  2. Hey, Deborah,

So far my favourite is Mystery of History, but I'm also looking forward to A Child's Geography by Ann Voskamp.

We've used one of Donna Wards books, and others are waiting in the wings, but we don't have this one. I'd love to see it!

  3. Hi again :0)

    This looks like fun.

All we've used (in our vast experience of - you know - two years) has been Story of the World, which we're enjoying.

  4. Jumping in late here. I have to admit, I don't have a favorite curriculum (yet). We haven't quite reached that point!

    What are your favorites?
