The Bush in April

Spring is late this year, but it's beginning to bloom in the back bush.

 Trout lillies.

 Anemone.

 Yes, there really are red trilliums. They are rare, but I found a few this year.

 Look at all the pollen on his legs!

 The green is winter wheat. It looks like a lush carpet, but really it's not that lush. We'll just pretend it is.

This weekend is Mother's Day. The trilliums should be just hitting their peak. I'm going to make sure I fit in another walk to the bush!
