Simple Woman's Daybook

For Monday, November 25, 2013. The last week of November. Wow! Where did this month go?

Outside my window: We still haven't raked the last of the leaves, but there's no snow here (yet). Overcast, windy and COLD!

I am hearing: Handel's Messiah, and the dogs playing.

I am pondering: church and church life. This should require a post of its own, but I don't know that I'm willing to articulate it at this point.

I am praying: for friends' health, wise decisions, ....

I am thankful for: safety on the roads on a very busy Friday and Saturday as we traveled around SW Ontario for various commitments. We missed all the snow!

I am wearing: grey dress pants, and dressy tank top. Will put socks on later and a sweater.

I am going: to have a stay-at-home-week (mostly) and am determined to get lots of stuff done!

I am reading: Matadora and Food Matters.

I am looking forward to: a full day with my mom on Wednesday. Not sure what we'll do as neither one of us are big in to shopping.

In the kitchen: lemon cranberry muffins, carrot cake,  brownies, lemon bars, garlic cheese biscuits, and broccoli soup.

I am creating: I finished the neck warmer I made last week. Now I am working on a baby blanket.

One of my favorite things: the pretty cupcake liners I found at the dollar store.

A favorite scripture passage: I Corinthians 13:1-3 If I speak in the tongues of men or of angels, but do not have love, I am only a resounding gong or a clanging cymbal. If I have the gift of prophecy and can fathom all mysteries and all knowledge, and if I have a faith that can move mountains, but do not have love, I am nothing. If I give all I possess to the poor and give over my body to hardship that I may boast, but do not have love, I gain nothing.

A picture thought I am sharing:

  1. Love peeking into your world. I enjoy hearing what you're baking, and creating... it gets me feeling creative after a few days of peaceful rest. 1 Corinthians 13 is one of my favorites too.
    Have a great week Deborah.
    Blessings,
    Pam
