Outside my window: still some glorious fall colour, overcast skies. They're forecasting snow!
I am hearing: Godspeed by the Red Jumpsuit Apparatus, a little doggie snoring, the HRV fan running, empty grain bins rattling back and forth down our road. (The full ones aren't half as noisy!)
I am pondering: why was I blessed to live in a world of such excess? Why is it that those who struggle the most seem to get hit the hardest?
I am praying: for the Philippines (we received word from the girls' orphanage that they were spared the worst of it), for friends who have lost loved ones, for those who have fought and continue to fight for our freedom, for safe travels and a good trip for a friend who is meeting her new daughter for the first time this week!
I am thankful for: a safe and enjoyable week away, a clean house to come home to, happy children, freedom to worship, that our van died just down the road from home so that we could walk back.
I am wearing: shorts, t-shirt, and a warm up jacket. Will be putting on socks and black dress pants over top shortly. (Yes, weird.)
I am going: to the cenotaph and directly from there to volleyball practice. Thus the strange outfit. I'll be wearing my warm coat, so I can hide the fact that I'm wearing workout clothes under it and the dress pants. :o)
I am reading: The Almond Tree by Michelle Cohen Corasanti among other books.
I am looking forward to: some time in my craft room.
In the kitchen: applesauce muffins, and supper? Well, I haven't thought of that one yet.
I am creating: I'm not sure yet, but I can hardly wait to get in my craft room.
One of my favorite things: the bracelet Peach made for me. (I'll post a photo soon.)
A scripture passage: Jeremiah 29:11 For I know the plans I have for you declares the Lord. Plans to prosper you and not to harm you. Plans to give you a hope and a future. (written from memory.)

You've been on my mind, with all the news from the PI. Gracious - so glad you have your girls home and settled. And SNOW! OH MY WORD THE BOYS WOULD BE JEALOUS! Me... well, I am hoping for snow, but not yet!
