At the end of October 2011, we opened our home to some special guests who were on a world tour. This past month they finally arrived home and several of us had celebratory teas in their honour of a safe trip around the world.
Since the Willows enjoyed pumpkin scones when they visited here, we thought it only appropriate to have scones for our tea. This time orange chocolate chips scones were made by Beans and Squirt.
The kitchen smelled marvelous and all the males in the house came round to sniff things out, but we shooed them away.
The girls all donned their fancy frocks, while I brewed the chocolate chai tea. Yum! I do believe the Willows would have quite enjoyed a sip, although if you see what they were imbibing at Pom Pom's they might not have liked their tea so much.
Time for tea! Lots of laughter and giggles occurred! Thank you again Mags and Pom Pom for conjuring up such a fun idea and allowing us to host Toad, Mole, and Ratty in our home! We can't wait to see what you're planning next!
I happen to know for a fact that the boys are very much missing all their delightful hostesses, yours included. Please give them as Ratty and Moley and Toady a kiss as you can on their behalf! Do also get those clever young women to pass on any ideas for our next Willows event! This is going to be a hard one to follow!
ReplyDeleteIt looks like it was a delightful tea! Would you be willing to share the recipe for the scones. My husband loves the orange and chocolate combination, and those scones would make a great birthday treat for him next month.
ReplyDeleteHi Siné,
DeleteThey were called English Royalty scones. I will post them soon! I want to tweak the recipe a bit and when I do, I will post it. I love the combination of orange and chocolate too!
Blessings!
Deborah
Thank you!

ReplyDeleteI loved the Barbie and the red car post. Badger is preparing. He is okay with not knowing what his adventure entails.
