An Epsom Salt Cover Vase

This is a quick and simple craft. I'm sure I'm not the first person to do this nor the first to post on it, but if I saw it on Pinterest, it was simply in passing. However, no credit goes to me as I rarely to never come up with ideas on my own, so let me state ahead of time, this was not my idea.

Find a jar, vase, or something with clear glass. Gather up some modge podge or white glue, Epsom salts, a paint brush or sponge, and a towel or large sheet of paper to protect your flat surface and make clean up simpler.

To begin, make sure the object you want to "paint" is clean and dry. Set it on your work area.

Thin your glue or Modge Podge 'til thin enough that it applies easily. If you want a drippy look on your glass, you could make it thinner. I haven't tried that (yet), but it might look quite pretty too.

Paint your glass where you would like to apply Epsom salts, working quickly so the glue mix doesn't start drying before you've finished.

Hold jar with one hand and sprinkle Epsom salt all around on the jar with the other hand. They will cling to the glue mix and create a wintery sparkle. Set to dry in the place you were dreaming it would go.

Now, clean up your mess. Use the paper to pour the left over Epsom salts into the container. Wash and dry your paint brush. Then go back and admire your handiwork :o).

I will post a pic of my vase completed in a day or two. I want to put the finished arrangement in it first.

Happy crafting!
