First off let me say that it went better than I expected. I think it helps that I'm mostly downstairs and within very easy earshot of any brewing battles. It also helps that the girls could burn off some energy outside before it started to rain. Yes!!!!
It took me most of the morning just to get my sewing work areas cleaned off and clean before I began to sew. So, only one project complete today. I'm not going to post a photo though because it's a gift for someone :o) and they read this blog regularly.
However here are some fat quarters for a project I want to start.
I need to make a cover for my sewing machine.
I think it will run much better if I keep it dust free. After all the poor thing does collect piles of dust as it waits very patiently for another sewing project. I need two more pieces. Any suggestions on colours or patterns? Or maybe I can cheat and just use the eight I have already..... I'll let you know :o).
How was your Monday?
Our March Break is off to a good start too, Deborah! I would love to get some sewing projects done too... but just no time right now!
ReplyDeleteI wish I could sew.... never learned...
ReplyDeleteI liked your matter of fact statement, "I need to make a cover for my sewing machine." I do too. Mine sits on the floor in my kitchen the majority of the time and even with the plastic cover I can only imagine the dust bunnies!
ReplyDeleteI look forward to seeing what you will do. I really want to make one but it won't happen for a while. My de cluttering list is too BIG. But I do plan to do some simple sewing for things we need. Your sewing posts will be a inspiration. [o=
ReplyDeleteI have missed popping in here and hope to catch up here and there. Miss you!

Glad that your kids are enjoying spring break! I definitely am! :)
ReplyDeleteGreat progress on those sewing projects! Can't wait to see more (including this one) when they are finished!
Hmm... Maybe some brighter green or orange. Maybe colors that are in the stripes? I bet you'll find some great patterns, or do great with just these 8. :)
Blessings,
~Michlyn
What fun! And a perfect 'spring break'!
