Baptism Day (Part 1)

Our girls were baptized on Sunday. It was a good day. It was a busy day. It was a meaningful day. It was also a very special day. Although we did miss those who could not celebrate with us for various reasons, we were very blessed to have so many who were able to come and celebrate our daughters' covenant into God's family. I only have a few photos as all the ones that were taken during the service were taken by my dear friend, Shelley. I'll post more and some of the service when I have those photos from her. So, here are some Straight Out of Camera (SOOC) shots. The first one is just before church. (Good thing our church never tends to start on time)! :o)

These few were waaay after church. You might notice the disheveled hair and chocolate covered dresses :o). (Names are blurred on their candle cases for privacy reasons).

I apologize to you my dear friends who were anxiously awaiting photos of the day. I needed a couple days to recover :o)!

Blessings!

  6. I well remember that day, Debbie, in which we brought 2 toddlers and a baby to the front of the church to be baptized. What a big day but so amazing when you think of how God uses adoption to bring His own into His family. Puts a lump in my throat when I think about it! I pray that some day, you may again rejoice as you see your girls respond to God's covenant promises and embrace it for their very own.

  7. Bonnie, I thought of you on Sunday! It is a blessing for us to see that they do grow up -- even if one of them still keeps you hopping. Thank you for your prayers and encouragement. It means a lot to us -- especially because we know that you traveled this road before us.

    Blessings!
    Deborah
