One big reason why I do (most of) my wash in cold.
It saves your Burt's bees lip balm. My favorite lip balm of choice. Minty, softening, and pretty too.
Lesson learned. Always wash in cold or at least check your pockets before washing :o).
Blessings!
Oh yes, I've had many chap stick disasters. I like all the Burt's Bees products.
ReplyDeleteAh, yes! Lip balm, coins, legos, pencils, acorns, stickers, silly bands, rocks, trash, the occasional ink pen... oh, the treasures I find in pockets (unfortuantely~ not always *before* I do the laundry :) You're very smart, my friend-- that's a lesson I've learned the very hard way! And yes... Burt's Bees is a staple around here, too!
ReplyDeleteVery good advice. I have washed more than my fair share of crayons, and ruined many items of clothing :O( I love Burt's Bees♥
ReplyDeleteThat is my favorite lip balm, too. I even carry one in my Bible. :) My problem is that I don't catch things before they go into the dryer. Woe is me.
ReplyDeleteOh, when lip balm melts in the dryer? Forget the lip balm...your clothes are ruined, too.
ReplyDeleteOoo! Well done, you :D
ReplyDeleteI just found a half-eaten pack of M&Ms in the dryer. Ugh. And I'm pretty sure they were... my husband's!
I'm so blessed that my hubby washes for me...and he always washes in cold!
ReplyDeleteI am so bad about not checking pockets when I do the laundry. My oldest is forever leaving packets of cleaning cloths for his eyeglasses in his pockets and they end up getting washed.
ReplyDeleteYes, checking the pockets before washing...not my strong point at all!
ReplyDeleteFYI: This product is made nearby...I forget it is sold other places too. Just seeing it on your blog made me think of home.
Oh, I LOVE my Burt's Bees lip balm! And nails are my least favorite thing to come through the wash :-( At least when I hand wash, it's not a big deal if I forget to check the pockets!
