My Teenager

It's time to loosen up a bit I guess. The first step is to let our teenager have a room in the basement. I can't believe I have a boy this big already. I still remember our first summer out here. He was nine months and such a sweet little soul. Back then, our house seemed so big for the three of us. Funny how things change :o)! Treasuring even these changes is so important because in a mere four years, we may be helping him pack for his first year of university. Scary stuff!

The only way to live is to accept each minute as an unrepeatable miracle, which is exactly what it is: a miracle and unrepeatable. ~Storm Jameson

  1. Oh, I know! With our Brad, when he started to tug hard at the apron strings, well, I had such a hard time. I've always been so enamored with him and his amazing ways. It all turned out okay and Bub's growing will hold great excitement each step of the way.

  2. They grow so fast. He is a tall boy-man, or is it man-boy?
What ever he is I am sure he is the sweetest!

  3. Deborah,
These are milestones that are tender yet hard. You do well to give a little as he grows up and matures but keep that ever perfect balance of nurture and love along side of the giving of independence.
Blessings to you in this season

  4. He looks so familiar....very much like one of my own boys. (Do I keep saying that here or just thinking it?) There is something very right about a boy becoming independent while still at home. These are good days.

  6. I know all too well how you feel! My boy is growing fast and I see the day, not in the too distant future, when he will be gone. Oh, if only, I could slow the clock down.
