Gifts of Gratitude

holy experience

The reality is, today was not one of my better days. I'm battling a migraine and the children were cranky from a late night last night. However, there is always something to be thankful for.

308. Meds that can take the edge off.

309. Getting caught up on marking (until tomorrow anyways :o)).

310. Clean dry laundry that is folded and (mostly) put away.

311. Dishes that are all done.

312. A very quiet evening.

313. A Bible study group that seeks to know God more intimately.

314. Playing board games with friends.

315. Impromptu coffee after church with other friends.

316. Playing Dutch Blitz with my girls.

317. Snuggling close to my husband on a chilly evening.

318. Soft warm blankets on a newly covered but ancient couch.

319. Taking in the sight of beautifully decorated homes for Christmas with my mom.

320. Slippers. Foot warming slippers.

321. A Sunday school class of little ones who listen to the lesson closely -- even if it is simply to hurry to craft time.

322. The neighbour's tabby kitten who comes to visit on occasion.

323. Encouragement, inspiration, and laughter from my blogging friends.

324. Kindred spirited moms at my children's French class.

325. The freedom to teach my children at home.

326. Crockpots.

327. Children who are excited about science and

328. History.

329. Dreams and goals.

330. Hot Ovaltine. I think I'll go make a cup now and then head off to bed.

  1. Love the changes on the blog and such a pretty picture of your daughter. Praying you feel better soon. I suffer from migraines as well so I know how hard it is to be Mom with one. ~Blessings Heather

  4. I truly enjoy reading your thankful lists. I find myself saying O, me too! Is Olvatine good...like chocolate milk or hot, as hot chocolate?

  5. Thank you, each one of you. Sometimes it is hard to make a list of gratitude, but I find once I get started more and more things keep popping into my head.

Cathy, Ovaltine is actually good hot or cold, but I like wrapping my hands around a hot mug of it. I like it because it has some extra healthy ingredients in it that chocolate mixes do not have. It's taste is quite similar to chocolate but not quite. It has a more "malted" flavour. I would almost recommend checking if a bulk food store near you would have it so you can try a little bit first :o).

    Blessings!
