Mulberries

The Engineer and I went for a little walk after church today with camera and baskets in tow. We went to check up on the mulberry tree on the west side of the wheat field. We managed to collect enough for a pie this week, and if the mockingbirds and robins don't gorge themselves silly, we'll be able to gather plenty more for pies and jam. Sadly, the cherries perished in all the rain we had last week. There were just a few naked pits clinging to the leafy branches.
