Sunday (1000 Gift's #'s 66-78)

Today after we got home from church, it was nice and sunny and mild, so the little girls, the Engineer, and I decided to play some bocce ball. By the time we changed and had some lunch, the lovely ice cold, lake effect, north wind had picked up to a brisk pace. We braved the elements anyway, but the game lasted maybe fifteen minutes and we were just to chilled to go on.

Instead we went in, had tea, and curled up with a book. (I think the girls went downstairs and played). I even squeeked in a nap.

In the late afternoon, the Engineer's brother and SIL joined us for tea and supper. It was so good to have them down for a few hours. We don't see his side of the family often enough, even though they're all a mere two hours away.

They left shortly after supper and we litterally left everything as it was and dashed out the door for Bible study. We studying a book called Four Dimensional Jesus. It is comparing the four gospels to each other and showing us their similarities and differences -- fascinating!!

When we got home, we got the kids off to bed, cleaned up the kitchen and crashed. It was a fun, but busy day!

I am thankful for this week:

growing things (my tulips, hyacinths, and daffs are all popping out of the ground).
extended family
Christian fellowship
learning more about God's Word
budding trees
good allergy meds
family support
a week off of schooling
some extra sewing time
special time with just one child home
reading and relaxing
our first bocce game of the year :0)
