Reality Check 101

No my blogging break is not done, but I had to check in to drop off some fabulous photos ;oP for one of my dear blogging friends. I call them Reality Check 101.

This is the state of affairs of our basement on any given day. In photo 1 and ancient seriously worn couch with an equally worn comfortor. That couch though, is still so comfortable...

In photo 2 the matching chair to the couch. It too has seen better days. Oh, and there lies the vaccuum cleaner in wait. I keep hoping some child will get tired of tripping over it and will use it. Either that or the vaccuum fairy will come and do her magic.

My work areas are in photo number three. I am surprised to see that they look rather tidy at the time of the photo. Sometimes they are so frightening, I can't find a thing, let alone work at them.

Finally, number four, is our music/junk room. It's not supposed to be a junk room, but it is supposed to be a music room. I think we decided that all the junk helps muffle the sounds of screeching voices and violins as well as unrhythmic drum beats and scary piano pieces. To the very right of that photo, there is a door. You don't want to go in that room as you may never come out again. THAT room I will save for a post all its own.

Can you believe that the one thing that causes all this daily reality in our home is a thing of beauty? Chegg 'em out:

Go check out Bobbie-Jo'sblog for more reality checks and a chance to win some wonderful books!

  3. I'm sure you've heard it.

Cooking and scrubbing can wait til tomorrow,
because children grow up, we've learned to our sorrow.
so quiet down cobwebs and dust go to sleep,
I'm rocking my baby and babies don't keep.
