Sewing Class

Peach and her friend have been taking a sewing class with a family friend who is an amazing seamstress. They both sewed skirts this time. They had to find a pattern for a skirt with a zipper. This was actually harder than finding the fabric, which was surprising because we usually have a really hard time finding the perfect fabric.

Once we finally, picked a pattern, we found the perfect fabric in record time. It is a lovely green corduroy. What the picture doesn't show however, is the silver sparkle running through it.

It took both girls a number of weeks to get their skirts finished as they both had to resize them, but they both did a beautiful job, thanks to their awesome teacher! I think I need to take lessons. I still haven't mastered zippers.

This week they will be working on dresses to send to Africa.
