Later we headed over to my brother and SIL's for their son Bright's 12th birthday. They have been having water problems of their own, but not due to rain. Would anyone like a house as is? They're about ready to stick a for sale sign in the lawn and walk out. I can sympathize because we've had days like that here too. Owning a home always entails added work and unforseen headaches.
As I type, the children are bantering with each other while playing board games. Both the Engineer and I had a nap. We seriously needed one as we stayed up waaay to late last night wrapping Christmas presents. We are officially done that part of Christmas. Next I will decide on my baking. I love doing Christmas baking, but the downfall is we eat far too much of it. It's no wonder I feel so sluggish in January.
My plans for the rest of the day? To begin sewing a cape for Beans. Look over some writing of Bub's, read, and curl up with a hot cup of Chai tea. It is quite chilly here today and we have seen a bit of the white stuff coming down off and on all day. Supposedly tomorrow, we are supposed to get some snow for real. We'll see...
How funny to read that you've wrapped the Christmas presents! I have been thinking for the last week that I should go ahead with that task, especially since my little one keeps getting into the spot where I have a major gift of his hidden.
