Our Second Camping Trip

We arrived home from our second and final camping trip late this afternoon. It was a glorious week up in the north country. Sunny days (and some rain too), long hikes, lounging on the beach, reading, watching the children bike, feeding the chipmunks, learning about life in an historical Jesuit village, and simply taking in the lush beauty of God's amazing creation.

It is a really beautiful time of the year to go, and so peaceful as virtually everyone with school age children is home for their first week of school, making the campgrounds very empty. This is the second year in a row we have gone away this week, and I think we will continue with this new tradition.

  1. Beautiful, beautiful pictures ... looks like a wonderful trip. Traveling while the public schools are in session is so advantageous.
