A Quiet Day

Gramma invited us over for coffee after church today. The children of course were thrilled. They get to spend time on Gramma and Grampa's new laptop. We had tea, goodies, and a chat, complained about the weather again (as it was sunny when we woke up, but turned overcast and cool before we left for church.), and heard some more details about their trip to Holland. It was a nice relaxsing visit.

Once we got home, lunch was a combination of leftovers and whatever else piqued an individual's taste buds.

I have been having a really difficult time with sinus infections (since mid April). They make me exceptionally sleepy (could be the meds too though), so today I gave into the urge to nap and had a nice long sleep. I am still headachy, but at least I feel a little more awake. I'm going to the doctor on Tuesday to see if we can clear it up better. I'm really not liking the pain that bounces around in my head when I change postions. It's oftentimes enough to make me want to keel over.

The sun came out while I was napping. The temperature has risen and it is glorious out. As I sit here, I can hear the kids playing, the dog yipping off and on, the occasional car driving by on the road, and a myriad of birds calling to one another. Again there is hardly a breath of wind, and when it does blow it is gentle and cooling. Perhaps our warmer weather is finally here to stay.

  2. Hey...hope your sinus stuff gets better quick. That is a real drag, especially since we finally have some nice weather on the way.

I had a terrible spring like that when I was teaching...I just couldn't shake it. All those sinus pills would just work for a few hours and the pounding would just come back. I ended up taking a strong antibiotic and it finally cleared up.

Hope you get rid of it soon!
