More Knitting

As promised, here is a photo of me in the purple cowl originally made for Peach. It's so warm and wide that it can be pulled over the head if need be. At times because of the width, it can be a little anoying -- like when doing groceries, so then I just take it off and pull it back on before I have to brave the cold again. It has made this winter so much more bearable.

Dishcloth number two is completed. I had a bit of trouble keeping the flow of this pattern initially, but now I think I have it figured out -- only to have started on one with a different pattern again.

Fingerless mitts that Bub immediately claimed as his. I want to work on changing this pattern a little as I am not happy with how the seam shows in the one. I'm going to have to work another pair though before I have it completely figured out.

Finally, another hat completed. This one was supposed to be for me, but I look ridiculous in hats, so I'm not sure who is going to be the recipient of this one yet. I had Squirt model it so I could get a photo. It's a little big on her and she was just thrilled to model ;o) can you tell?

I am also happy to report that Peach found my knitting book that I love! I adore the flower pattern in there for embellishing hats.

You can find it at most local bookstores I'm sure, or you can order it online. I got mine here.

Well, that's it for finished projects for now. There are four projects sitting on needles, but only one is even close to being finished, so it might be awhile before I have any more knitties to share.

  3. I love your knitting projects. The large purple cowl is a gorgeous shade, and I can see the benefit of such a garmet when it is cold outside.

I especially appreciate your son claiming the fingerless mitts.
