Sorry, I'm Reading....

I went through our bookshelves and listed off all the books that we have that I haven't read yet. It's very ridiculous how many books we own. It's even worse that I haven't read so many of them! So here's my list for this year. I can say in advance that I won't accomplish it in its entirety as there are more books than there are weeks and I do NOT have a goal of reading one per week. If I get forty read, I will be happy. I have other things that I need to focus on this coming year more than books read.

Anyways here's the list in no particular order except for where they may have been grouped on a shelf...

What's on your reading list the year? I would love to know as I'm always adding to my must read list!

  2. We have gobs of books on our bookshelves that I've never read. So many books, so little time....... I do hope to make a dent in them this coming year though, but getting my house in order and organized better is far more important to me. I am working on Christopher Paolini's books that you have listed. I've read the first (Eragon) and started the second but never finished.

  4. What a great idea! I need to do the same - list the books I've not yet read and get to it! Thanks for the idea and the motivation.

And you're so very wise... good to have a (loose) reading goal, but you're priorities are often elsewhere :D

  5. You got a couple of my faves on that list. I too have lots of books I haven't read. It's a great place to start. How does one with 7 children find time to read, I wonder? I struggle to do 15 minutes of reading a day and I only have 1 child. Oh well. Right now I'm (slowly) working through, The Life You've Always Wanted by John Ortberg, Raising an Emotionally Intelligent Child by John Gottman and re-reading The Connected Child by Karyn Purvis. Happy reading! (and Happy New Year!)

  6. Looks like a balanced list! I'm finding myself drawn more to biographies lately, but I'm really at the mercy of the books available here. I think I will go crazy buying books when we return to the States if I'm not careful!
