On February 12 we drove to Lansing, MI to attend the
Rock and Worship Roadshow. When tickets are only $10/person, it is hard to pass up. I'm sure I've mentioned before that we're all a bunch of music lovers, so this is a rather inexpensive and fun way to break up the winter. It was soooo good!! We all had a great time! Even better, Mercy Me had all their CD's on for six dollars. That was super exciting and I am LOVING their newest CD, The Generous Mr. Lovewell. Did you know that they even reference my blog in one of their songs? Okay, it's not my blog, but the title of my blog. The Engineer wonders if we should be getting any revenue from the sales of their CD :oD. The lyrics are as follows:
Mercy Me: Move Lyrics
I'm not about to give up
Because I heard you say
There's gonna be brighter days
There's gonna be brighter days
I wont stop, Ill keep my head up
No, I'm not here to stay
There's gonna be brighter days
There's gonna be brighter days
I just might bend but wont break
As long as I can see your face
(Chorus)
When life wont play along
And right keeps going wrong
And I can't seem to find my way
I know where I am found
So I wont let it drag me down
Oh, I'll keep dancing anyway
I'm gonna move (move)
I'm gonna move (move)
I'm gonna move (I'm gonna move)
Ive got to hold 'er steady
Keep my head in the game
Everything is about to change
Everything is about to change
This hurt is getting heavy
But I'm not about to cave
Everything is about to change
There's gonna be brighter days
I just might bend but wont break
As long as I can see your face
(Chorus)
No matter what may come
Gotta move to a different drum
No matter what life brings
Gotta move gotta move to a different beat (x2)
I just might bend but wont break
As long as I can see your face
(Chorus) x2

I thought it was pretty neat to hear this song for the first time at the concert and hear 'to a different drum' in the lyrics. Have any of you heard a word or phrase of something special to you sung in a song that you hadn't heard before?
That sounds like a lot of fun, Deborah! You have such a cool family!
ReplyDeleteOh I would have loved that show!! Sounds like fun ~Hope your having a Good week ~Love the Header on the blog ~ Love Heather
ReplyDeleteWhat a great family event! I'm not good at paying attention to lyrics all the time. Sometimes I do but most of the time I listen to the tune. Now Amy can hear lyrics once and recall word for word what she heard.
ReplyDeleteSo glad you all enjoyed a great concert.
