Sadly, even though it was March break, I did not finish a single book this week. I am almost done 1000 Gifts by Ann Voskamp and Jane Eyre by Charlotte Bronte, so hopefully next week I'll have at least one book completed. It's one of the foibles of reading multiple books at a time :oS.
I leave you with a photo of Daddy and Daughter reading together before bed. I am so glad that the Engineer chooses to spend his evenings reading with/to his children before bed.
Did anyone finish some good reads this week? I'd love to hear about them!
Sweet picture!
ReplyDeleteI was too busy going all over NYC to do much reading but this next week, I will catch up.

I recently read The Damascus Way by Davis Bunn and Janette Oke. It's the third book in their Acts of Faith series. This one was harder for me to "get into" than the previous two, but I really got interested about halfway through. These are Biblical fiction, and this particular book touches on Saul and obviously what happens on the way to Damascus, but he is not the focus of the book. It's mainly following characters from the first book with a look (of course fictional) at their lives and the encounters they have. I also read Kingdom's Reign by Chuck Black. My oldest and I love his Knights of Arrethtrae series. KR is from his Kingdom's series, but is sort of a follow to the last Knights book. I enjoyed it, but not nearly as much as the Knights books.
