The Annual Leaf Jump

Cooler than average weather, high winds, and rain have been making their way across our small acreage, slowly stripping the trees of their gorgeous cloaks of amber, gold, crimson, and magenta. It's not all bad though, as the girls at least went out between the rainstorms in their splash pants to have fun in the fallen leaves.

Every year in late October, early November, the kids will spend a few days raking piles and jumping, raking, and jumping, until the leaves are ground into pieces too small to rake. So much for garden compost!

  1. I'm always impressed and in awe of your pics - they capture the moments, the feelings, the seasons, the beauty so very well.

Won't you be glad to have them when your kids are grown?!
