Sylvester Part II

Our poor Vester Kitty did not make it through the night. I buried him this morning in his favorite garden spot. He was a shy, quiet fellow and only warmed up to those he knew well. When we had guests over he usually stayed well hidden -- especially when there were extra children around. When the children were gone, ours were in bed, and it was just the Engineer and I up, he always layed within petting distance of one of us. He loved to have belly rubs. He would use his paws to pull your hand into his belly. For all the time Sylvester spent indoors, we never once even considered having him declawed as he never used his claws indoors. His sweet quiet dispostion warmed our hearts and our laps. He was well loved and will be dearly missed.

Sweet Kitty curled up in cozy sleep on our porch setee.

  3. Thank you ladies for your kind words, thoughts, and prayers. The kids handled it way better than I thought they would. They laid flowers on his "grave" yesterday afternoon, but no crying fits have occurred. Part of me is still in denial, but we've been through this a few times in the past two years with various pets, so I know it will get better. It just takes time.
