Lord of the Rings

Woo hoo! Bub officially finished reading the entirety of Lord of the Rings today. The Engineer quizzed him on his knowledge. It was a little sketchy. I personally couldn't blame the boy. We could use the book as a booster seat it's so huge! I think he's been reading it for over a year. He's read so many other books in between, it's a wonder he remembers any of it.

Now we are going to hear a daily request to watch the movies. He has wanted to watch them for so long, but Daddy made a deal with him that he had to read the whole series first. Since he completed them I guess Daddy has a deal to honour. You go boy! Well done! I'll make the popcorn. A BIG BIG bowl. You'll need it to keep up your strength. Especially in the battle scene I thought would never end.


This is the hardcover version with all three (or six depending on how you look at it) books in one. Quite a load to hold while lying on your back. He made it work though. Have to love the half sun half shade positioning.
