We've done a number of different and fun things together and find that for the most part, the girls travel really well. They also shop quite well :o). I'm not a shopper, but where we are here in Manila, there are two HUGE malls and we've been getting rain, so we walk, walk, walk the malls.
Tomorrow we're getting up bright and early to be at the airport by 5am. Ugh! We fly from Manila, to Beijing and have a six hour layover. Then we fly Beijing to Toronto. If you think of us, please pray for safe travels and girls who listen and behave well. I'm a little worried about that six hour layover!
I leave you with two photos that made us very happy today!
At ICAB -- the place where they make adopting from the Philippines possible! We now have passports and visas for our girls! We can go home and begin learning to live as a family of nine!
Oh myyy! A cup of coffee has never tasted soooo good! Well worth the hefty sum of pesos!
Warm thanks to all who are thinking of us and praying for us back in North America. It may be a few days before I blog again. Now there are six of us that have to adjust to a twelve hour time difference. It's going to be the longest Saturday (and birthday for the Engineer) of our life :o)!
Blessings!
prayed for you this morning. great to wake and see news...safe travels!

Can't wait to see how you change your blog header now that you are a family of 12! Love seeing the girls on the sidebar with the rest of the gang!
ReplyDeleteSafe travels home. As much as it seems interminable, the jet let will subside. Get plenty of rest and spend as much time in the sun during the day as you can.
Oh my!! I'm so excited for you all!! I will definitely be praying for the girls adjustments on the planes, and coming HOME! I know that you might even be almost home by now, but I'll still be praying. Hopefully the time difference you can all adjust to pretty easily. At this moment I'm speechless...

Thinking of you today. Hope the travels are going smoothly. Happy birthday M!
ReplyDeletePraying for kind words to flow even when you are exhausted and as you adjust back to your new life in Canada.
ReplyDeleteManila actually has at least TEN more HUGE malls like the two you went to. Going to the mall... it's the Filipino pastime!
ReplyDeleteOh the famous trip to ICAB! Such good times. We celebrated at Starbucks after, too! Isn't it such a wonderful feeling to have that final blessing of ICAB and to be on your way. Worth celebrating with expensive coffee, indeed!
By now you've probably made it home. I am eager to hear how the trip went but no rush on the blogging. I know that first week home is rough. Am praying for you all as you adjust to being a family of nine. Lord bless you!
I am looking forward to seeing a picture with the entire family, all nine of you!
ReplyDeleteYou are in my prayers...
