My girls loved the mug card I made last week, so on Sunday afternoon, they worked on a few of their own. Considering their ages range between five (six in three weeks) and ten years, I am still needed quite a bit for guidance.
They did most of the cutting, gluing, and decorating, but making sure it was folded and fit together -- well was my department. (I can't say I did a very good job, but of course I put the original template in such a safe place that I couldn't find it, so I had to draw up a new one which didn't square up quite so well).
I bought the hot chocolate packets on sale, and the candy canes -- maybe not, but they weren't that exorbitantly priced, so it makes a nice simple (inexpensive) gift to give to their friends.
We had a fun hour or so making a big mess and being creative. Or more psychologically speaking, we were building memories :o). I am always amazed at how three young ladies from the same parents can be so different in looks and personality. It is fascinating to watch the three of them work together as well as independently.
Those cards are great... something even boys would probably enjoy making.
ReplyDeletethanks for the idea :0)
