My mom used to boil in down in a pot and put it in the fridge and freeze lots of course. It was our only treat really for years.

I do wish I had space at this house for a garden though . We have a few herbs and such , but I'd love to plant more things to enjoy and put away. We try to get to the local farmer's market, but still.

Love the little knitted hats ~ I always come away from your blog so inspired.Anonymoushttps://www.blogger.com/profile/15924061349390319473noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-5222945587640777221.post-60349373735459773322010-05-30T14:40:55.534-04:002010-05-30T14:40:55.534-04:00I have never had rhubarb, though I would love to t...I have never had rhubarb, though I would love to try a pie. ...You are braver and have more perseverance than I.

At our old house, I had a running battle with a rhubarb plant we 'inherited' with the house. It was HUGE. It wanted to take over, I'm sure of it. The stalks of rhubarb were about as long as my arms. And the worst thing was that a large community of slugs would hide under the enormous leaves, to come out and browse the garden at night.

It was war, I tell you!

But it would be lovely to sit with you and eat pie :D

JulieHerding Grasshoppershttps://www.blogger.com/profile/15668974245505544238noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-5222945587640777221.post-68718485303455718812010-05-28T21:53:02.518-04:002010-05-28T21:53:02.518-04:00Yes, Joanna!
