Our Adoption Timeline

  • Dec 3, 2012 The girls are finally legally ours.
  • Jun 11, 2011 We arrive home in Canada (just before midnight).
  • Jun 10, 2011 Signed all the documents at ICAB (Inter Country Adoption Board) that allow us to leave the Philippines with our daughters.
  • May 30, 2011 Signed documents with the orphanage that state that girls are in our legal guardianship.
  • May 29, 2011 First night with our girls
  • May 28, 2011 We make the final leg of our journey and meet our girls at the airport!!
  • May 26, 2011 Three of us board a plane bound for Japan and then Manila.
  • May 19, 2011, We finally received the call that we can travel!!!!!
  • Mar 21, 2011 Girls medicals are scheduled.
  • Jan 12, 2011 Our girls' package FINALLY arrived at their current home.
  • Nov 22, 2010 Package sent to our Adoption Office to be sent to the girls.
  • Nov 19, 2010 Signed consent forms to BRING OUR DAUGHTERS HOME!!!
  • Nov 9, 2010 Dossier arrived at our Adoption Office.
  • Nov 1, 2010 Received phone call that the Ministry of Ontario finally approved changes to our application from a sibling group of two to a sibling group of three.
  • Sep 1, 2010 Received ICAB approval to adopt our Wee Three. Now making changes to ON gov't documents and awaiting official proposal.
  • Jul 21, 2010 Some documents have arrived for our girls!
  • Jul 9, 2010 ICAB is holding our girls for us. Now awaiting documents and proposal.
  • Jun 23, 2010 We accept the request to pursue more information on these Little Ones.
  • Jun 22, 2010 Our adoption director called to bring our attention to a waiting sibling group.
  • Feb 27, 2010 ICAB approval to adopt from the Philippines!!
  • Jan 14, 2010 Dossier sent to ICAB in the Philippines.
  • Jan 5, 2010 Received phone call from our agency that we have our Ontario Approval!!!
  • Aug 27, 2009 Date of homestudy submission to Ontario government.
  • Jul 23, 2009 Sent off homestudy to our adoption agency.
  • Jul 22, 2009 Finally signed off on our homestudy.
  • Feb 4, 2009 First visit with our social worker.
