In One Week

One week from today, my friend Kristina, her husband, and their boys will be on the road to a new place and a new life. Oh to have that gypsy spirit that she possesses. She will be starting a new and REALLY COOL job! In a small way, I have to say that I am a little envious, but she has worked hard and this is a beautiful opportunity for her. I'm glad she and our friend Kelly (thank you for being so on the ball, Kelly!) were able to get together one more time before they head west. We had a great evening full of sharing and laughter. I'm thankful for the special friends I have both near and far. God has blessed me richly!

And Kristina, au contraire, my dear friend! You will very soon have friends out west too whether you want them or not :o)!

Godspeed and big hugs!!

  3. Deborah,
This is such a great picture. You look so fresh and rested...just like you had been at a spa for a week!! What is your secret???
Seriously, good friends moving away is hard...it is indeed wonderful to have all the modern technology to stay "with" those we love who are far away. Not like a real life hug, but it is close!
Hope your Sabbath is a day of rest...if not literaly at least of your soul and a day of quiet...again perhaps in your soul...reflection of all that God is doing in and through you.
    hugs

  4. I'll be praying for your friend and her family. Moving is a lot of work, and it can be stressful. Meeting new friends is such a blessing!

    Prayers and Hugs,
    ~Michlyn

P.S. I love the picture! I'm glad that you got to get out of the house!

  5. Kim and Heather, I know you are both speaking straight from the heart. Keeping you both in my thoughts and prayers.

Annesta and Michlyn, my dear prayer warrior friends. Words can never express how thankful I am for your prayers. You're right, virtual hugs cannot replace the real thing, but I'm sending all four of you big hugs anyway.

Oh, and Annesta, the secret is a shower and a very tasty chocolate mint iced cappuccino :o)!

    Blessings!
    Deborah

  6. Hi there Deborah,

I just had to chime in to say I had such a fun time out with you ladies! I will always remember the giggles we shared.
I am terrible with good-byes... I always say until we meet again.
I am thankful for the friendship I have found in you and Kristina.
So Kristina if you are reading this...until we meet again.

    Hugs,
    Kelly

  7. what a beautiful post, dear friend. i am not sure why i never noticed it until tonight (or in your case, this morning!) but perhaps it was meant to be. i needed those words this night, as i am tired and kind of in a state of "is this really real? is this just a vacation or am i only going one way this time?"

    it's all good.
    it's all for a reason.
    miss you girls already.

    xoxo k
