The Gravel Pits

Not too far from our home are some former gravel pits that have been naturalized. They're a very doable hike with young children and a crazy pup. They're also very beautiful! A popular spot for dog lovers, today it was just Maverick, the girls, and I.

The humidity had disappeared overnight leaving a comfortable, mostly sunny, breezy day today. It was a perfect afternoon for a short walk.

Be blessed today!

  2. Looks like a good nature walk.

So, out of curiosity - have the three little girls picked out a favorite big girl? Do you find that their personalities match up that way? It seems that my girls have their favorite older girl cousins who are able to play well with them or comb their hair or just relate better to a certain girl than others. And I was just wondering. :)

  3. Hmmm, good question! I can't say I've noticed it yet, but I do see certain similarities between some of the older three to some of the younger three. It will be interesting to see if they pair off as time goes by. I'll let you know :o)!

    Blessings!

  5. Beautiful pictures! Your girls are so pretty, and it looked like a great day for a walk. I love the one of Beans and Peanut! Too cute. Hope you had some time to let out their 'outside' voices, and get out of the house.

    Prayers,

  6. Beautiful pictures of beautiful subject matter ;D

That's funny. I - like NS - was also wondering if the girls were kind of pairing off, or if it was just a coincidence in the photo.

    Looks like a great day!

  9. Your post reminded me of the book The Five Children and It. Didn't they find It in a gravel pit? All those girlies are beautiful and how cool that they pair up nicely. =)

  11. It looks like a wonderful place for an afternoon adventure! I had to laugh at the photo of Mav in the water. Dogs and water. We can't keep our basenji mix out of our pond. Thankfully he just wades instead of going all the way in for a swim.
