Tired Children

Yesterday was a lot of fun, but sometimes you end up in trouble the next day. I have four very tired kids and as I am typing, we are supposed to be heading out the door for swim team. It's not happening yet as one is still eating, one is still in bed, and the others are dragging themselves around trying to find swimsuits and towels. It is very quiet -- at least until a fight breaks out or someone starts wailing because they can't find something or because one sibling looked at the other one funny. Oh wait, the crying has started I better go find out what's wrong. *Sigh* It's going to be one of those days...

  5. I'm am laughing over the "one sibling looked at the other one funny" remark. It's not funny - believe me, I know it's not funny - because it's something I am dealing with on a daily basis now with my little guy. It just struck me funny as I read it, and I needed a laugh right now terribly. I hope your day improved!

  6. I can relate to days like this. One thing about them is that they make days when we get to stay home all the better. Hope your day got better.

  7. My boys swam on summer swim leagues; I remember all those many mornings of getting them out of bed early and scurrying to the pool. Rose did it one summer but now, we are more leisurely in the mornings. (leisure is good for me now) Yet, I have fantastic, wonderful memories of summer swimming teams too.

  8. Thank you all for your prayers! It turned out to be a quiet day. Bub went to the town pool with a friend for the afternoon and the girls swam, read, and slept. Why? Because we were blessed by our friends in Christ!

Happy Independence Day to all of you!

    Blessings!
    Deborah
