Homeschool Advantage No's 4&5 -- Puppies!!!!!

I haven't posted a homeschool post since I started my homeschool blog, but today it was hard to separate the two, so I had to do it.

I love it when you can begin a week thinking it is just another normal week, but then get an invite on Tuesday afternoon asking if you would like to come for coffee on Friday morning to see their puppies. Who would pass up seeing a new litter of puppies?? So, we rearranged our week a little so we could take Friday morning off.

What a beautiful Indian summer day it was! The children all gathered together and oooed and awed over the puppies, had a snack, and then went out on their gorgeous 1 acre property to play. Us three moms had a nice time chatting about curriculum (of course), our children, and various other topics over cups of coffee and tasty treats.

Aren't they just the cutest little sausages you have ever seen? They're Beagles. Their eyes are open now too, but after all the handling by the children, they were more than happy to sleep --even through the crazy lady with the camera :-).

Here is the whole gang. We managed to get them to sit still long enough to get a picture of all ten of them even though at least half had no desire to get their picture taken. This one was good compared to the outakes. They're a great bunch of kids and had an awesome time together!
